Butter Fly: Tap & Flap
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Futuro Studios ("Futuro Studios", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with Butter Fly: Tap & Flap and the other mobile applications we publish on the Apple App Store and Google Play (each, an "App"). It applies to every Futuro Studios App that links to this policy, including Nixon: The Cover-Up, Butter Fly: Tap & Flap, Oui the People, Mock Congress, and UFO Nexus, together with any App we release in the future that references this page.
Not every practice described below applies to every App. Some Apps do not offer accounts, purchases, or AI-assisted features, and an App only collects the categories of information it actually needs to function. The privacy label shown on an App's App Store or Google Play listing describes what that specific App collects. By downloading or using an App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
None of our Apps contain advertising. Not now, and not in a future release. No Futuro Studios App displays ads, embeds an advertising SDK, shares your information with ad networks or data brokers, or tracks you across other apps and websites for advertising purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Anything an App collects, it collects to make the App work — nothing more.
Privacy in Nixon: The Cover-Up
Featured from Futuro Studios
Nixon: The Cover-Up
A darkly comic political strategy game in which you play Richard Nixon in August 1974, refusing to resign and working the Senate for the 34 votes you need to survive impeachment. It is a single-player game that runs entirely on your device, and this section describes exactly what it does and does not collect. Where it is silent, the general sections that follow apply.
No Account, and Nothing We Hold About You
The game has no accounts, no sign-in, and no profile. You do not give us a name, an email address, or a phone number to play it, and we do not create an identifier for you or build a record of your play on our servers. There is nothing for you to log in to, and correspondingly nothing of yours for us to hold.
Your Saves Stay on Your Device
Save slots, settings, difficulty selection, and run history are written to storage on the device you play on. They are not uploaded to us, not synced between your devices, and not readable by us at any point. Deleting the game deletes them with it, which is why the save management screen offers an export option — see the support page before you reinstall or switch phones. An exported save is a file you control, and it goes wherever you send it; if you attach one to a support message, we use it only to reproduce the problem you reported and delete it afterwards.
Playing Offline, and What the Web Version Changes
Everything the game needs — including all intro footage and audio — is bundled inside the app, so a run works with no network connection at all. The iOS and Android versions do not need to reach us to function. If you play the browser version instead, our web host processes ordinary server request data such as IP address, browser type, and requested files in order to deliver the game, as any website does; that build stores your saves in your browser's local storage, which clearing site data will erase.
Purchases, Diagnostics, and What the Stores See
The game offers optional in-app purchases. Apple and Google process them and tell us only that an entitlement is valid; we never see your payment card number or billing details. Separately, Apple and Google may provide us with crash reports and aggregate performance and download statistics for the game, in the form and under the settings you control in your device's privacy options. That is the extent of what reaches us about how the game is played.
No Ads, No Tracking, No AI Features
The game displays no advertising, contains no advertising SDK, and does not track you across other apps or websites, so it will not ask you for App Tracking Transparency permission. That is true of every Futuro Studios App, not only this one. It requests no device permissions — no location, camera, microphone, photo library, or contacts — and it includes no AI-assisted features, so nothing you do in a run is sent to an AI provider. The section below on AI features describes other Futuro Studios Apps and does not apply to this game.
Age Rating and Satirical Content
Nixon: The Cover-Up is political satire on a counterfactual premise, including depictions of bribery and nuclear brinkmanship, and its store listing carries an age rating that reflects that. It is not directed to children, and because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Privacy in Butter Fly: Tap & Flap
Also from Futuro Studios
Butter Fly: Tap & Flap
A casual one-touch arcade game in the Flappy Bird tradition: tap to flap, keep the butterfly in the air, and beat your own best score. It is a small single-player game for iOS and Android, and the notes below describe what it does and does not collect. Where they are silent, the general sections that follow apply.
No Account, and Your Score Stays on Your Device
The game has no accounts, no sign-in, no profile, and no online leaderboard. You do not give us a name, an email address, or a phone number to play it. Your best score and your settings are written to storage on the device you play on; they are not uploaded to us, not synced between your devices, and not readable by us at any point. Deleting the game deletes them with it, and there is no cloud copy to restore from.
Playing Offline
Everything the game needs is bundled inside the app, so a run works with no network connection at all. The game does not need to reach us to function, and we do not run a server that records your play.
Purchases and Diagnostics
Any in-app purchases the game offers are processed by Apple or Google, who tell us only that an entitlement is valid; we never see your payment card number or billing details. Apple and Google may separately provide us with crash reports and aggregate performance and download statistics for the game, in the form and under the settings you control in your device's privacy options.
No Ads, No Permissions, and Children
The game displays no advertising and contains no advertising SDK, in this build or any other. It requests no device permissions — no location, camera, microphone, photo library, or contacts — it does not track you across other apps or websites, so it will not ask you for App Tracking Transparency permission, and it includes no AI-assisted features, so nothing you do in a run is sent to an AI provider. Butter Fly: Tap & Flap is a general-audience game with no violent or mature content, and because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. This may include an account identifier, display name, or email address if the App offers accounts; content you create or submit, such as text, prompts, saved items, preferences, ratings, and reports; and the contents of support requests and feedback you send us.
Information collected automatically. This may include device model, operating system version, language and region, app version, coarse network information, in-app activity and feature usage, crash reports, and performance diagnostics. We do not collect or use advertising identifiers.
Permission-based information. Some Apps request access to device capabilities such as location, camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, or notifications. We request a permission only where a feature needs it, we ask at the point of use, and you can grant or revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Declining a permission disables only the feature that depends on it.
Purchase information. If an App offers a subscription or in-app purchase, we receive a record of the transaction and your entitlement status. We never receive or store your full payment card number or billing credentials; those are handled by Apple or Google.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate and deliver the App and its features; to authenticate accounts and restore purchases and subscription entitlements; to personalize content and settings; to respond to support requests; to measure and improve performance, stability, and feature quality; to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and to comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We do not use information collected in an App for advertising of any kind, our own or anyone else's. We do not use the content you submit to an App to train our own models.
AI-Assisted Features
Some Apps include features powered by third-party artificial intelligence providers, including OpenAI. When you use such a feature, the text or other content you submit — along with limited context needed to produce a useful response — is transmitted to the provider's API, processed, and returned to the App. This processing is necessary to deliver the feature you requested.
We access these providers through their business or enterprise API terms, under which submitted content is not used to train the provider's models by default. Providers may retain submissions for a limited period for abuse monitoring and legal compliance before deletion, in accordance with their own policies.
Please do not enter sensitive personal information — such as government identifiers, financial account numbers, precise health information, or another person's private details — into an AI-assisted feature. AI-generated output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, and it is not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. You are responsible for evaluating output before relying on it.
Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google through the store you installed the App from, and are governed by that store's terms, billing rules, and refund policies. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
Some Apps use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to validate store receipts, track entitlement status, and restore purchases across your devices. To do this, RevenueCat processes a pseudonymous app user identifier, store receipt and transaction data, subscription status, and basic device and country information on our behalf. RevenueCat acts as our service provider and does not receive your payment card details.
Analytics and Diagnostics
We may use analytics and crash-reporting tools — including services provided by Apple and Google — to understand how features are used and to diagnose errors. We use what they report only to fix problems and improve the App.
No App carries advertising, so there are no ad partners, no ad SDKs, and no advertising identifiers involved at any point. Because we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, no App will ask you for App Tracking Transparency permission on iOS.
How We Share Information
We share information only as described here: with service providers that host, process, or support the App under contracts limiting their use of the information to our instructions; with Apple and Google for app distribution, purchases, and store-provided services; with law enforcement or other authorities where we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or property; and with a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy. We may also share information with your consent or at your direction.
Data Retention and Security
We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements; after that it is deleted or de-identified. Diagnostic and analytics data is generally retained in aggregated or pseudonymous form.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards — including encryption in transit — to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent you previously gave; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal information to perform our contract with you (delivering the App and its features), on the basis of our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and product improvement), with your consent (device permissions and optional tracking), and to comply with legal obligations. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law.
Account and Data Deletion
If an App offers accounts, you can request deletion of your account and its associated data from within the App's settings, and by writing to us at the address below. Deleting the App from your device removes data stored only on that device but does not by itself delete information held on our servers.
When you request deletion, we remove your account data and any content associated with it, except for records we must keep to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations, and information already de-identified or aggregated. Purchase and subscription records held by Apple, Google, or our subscription provider are governed by those parties' retention practices.
Children's Privacy
Our Apps are intended for general audiences and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. An App with a higher age rating on its store listing is intended only for users who meet that rating. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided us personal information may contact us using the details below.
International Transfers
Futuro Studios is based in the United States, and information we collect may be processed in the United States or in other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, for these transfers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our Apps, our practices, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the App or on its store listing before the change takes effect. Continued use of an App after an update takes effect indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
Contact Us
Questions, privacy requests, and complaints about this policy or about any Futuro Studios App can be sent to Futuro Studios, 2248 Broadway #1589, New York, NY 10024, United States, or through the developer contact shown on the App's Apple App Store or Google Play listing.
